For the past two weeks, we have talked about the SAT and ACT colleage admissions test and GRE for graduate school. This week in our foreign student series , we move on English Language Tests . Most American colleages and universities accept one or both of the two major tests. One is the test English as a foreign language known as the TOFFEL, the other is the International English language testing system or ILETS. The TOFFEL is given in 180 countries, the competing ILETS is given in 121 countries. 1,000,000 people each year take the TOFFEL says time for the educational testing service . Saying with the ILTES says barrel may round the exactive director of ILETS international . She says , "two thousand colleages and universities in the United States now recoganise the ILETS. "Schools might accept only for undergraduate or graduated mission or both. The ILETS is a paper test, while the TOFFLE is given on paper only in places where a computer test is unavailable.
