The first cell phones used a system or network, called 1G, it was the first generation technology. 1G network allowed people making phone calls and talking to another person, but that's all. In the ealry 1990s, the second generation or 2G network was come into use. It permitted people to talk to each other and send text messages. Then, the cell phones became much more heavier, lighter , and less costly. In 2001, the first 3G system came into use. The new network allowed people to make phone calls, send text messages and use the Internet. Users can even keep photographs, music on their phones and send them to their friends. With the past two years, the 4G systems has come into use. The 4G network make the cell phones work faster with much more information. Modern cell phones can even act as a samll television, showing movies and live sporting events. With the network becoming more complex, the cell phones become much more smaller, heavier and less costly. Many electronics stores in United States give away the newest cell phones, but the customers must agree to pay the network to make a phone call ta another person. It was very interesting to imagine what the 5G and 6G network cell phones of future were able to do.
